Fresh vibes and a refreshing sound characterizes the music of the artist known as Zleem pronounced (Slim). The talented dreadlock wearing singer is definitely above the ranks of mediocrity when it comes to music delivery and a passion for melody. Born Temilola Laz , Zleem says music has always been a part of him growing up listening to people like Ras Kimono, Majek Fashek , Sunny Ade , Evangelist Ebenezer Obey , Fela Kuti and many more.
Some of his earliest musical influences also include Angelique Kidjo, Oliver de Coque , Onyeka Onwenu and Daddy Showkey. Born into royal ancestry, his family he describes as wavy and support anything he lays his hands on hence they gave him full support for his music.
Although his Dad would have preferred him to be a surgeon, his first song was titled Ile-Ijo and for him the music making process works by anything or anytime he is inspired. For example the song ‘Baddest’ came about when he linked up with producer Demsa and they were just vibing.
Zleem’s versatility makes him unique in a saturated field and that amounts to one of the factors that would ensure he stands the test of time. On who He would like to work with, Zleem said he would love to make music with most of the big wigs in African music without any specific preference as long as they make good music.
Just like his current trending singles ‘Baddest’ and 4 D Money, Zleem says fans are in for a unique musical experience with him as he would continue to dish out sweet tunes. The ambitious singer concludes by saying a big thank you to all his fans. ‘Watch out for more dope music’ he says.
