Hip-hop newcomer Leo released his new single Blessings on Friday, 1 March 2019.
The smooth and laid-back single shows the Pretoria-based rapper’s vocal quality and innovative lyrics. Blessings provides a clean production which stays away from mainstream South African hip-hop styles. The song talks about the rapper’s blessings that he has received throughout his life and takes the listener on an easy-to-listen-to journey. The second half of Blessings changes in beat as a trumpet interlude is heard. The rapper then showcases a more confident persona, rapping about his accomplishments and goals.
Leo is known for his 2017 EP PNK and his 2018 EP BLK:Prelude, which brought attention to his unique and thought-provoking music.
