Flava was born in a township called Mhluzi in a town called Middelburg in the Mpumalanga province, on June 14 1985 into a family that had a long tradition of music, religion, education and dignity. He initially seemed destined for a career in music from an early age. In his elementary school days he was involved in several performing arts groups in the Township, that’s where he learned most of the fundamentals in music like how to write lyrics, music productions and other performing arts branches such as theatre. After completing his degree in IT in 2006, he decided to juggle both work and music. He worked in an IT company until 2008 where he decided to fully focus on music.
He decided to start recording label together with his friends. The label was called Burnslow/Vuthakancane Productions. The aim of the recording label was focus on creating a recording powerhouse consisting of every aspect of music production, beat makers, songwriters and producers etc. To achieve this goal, the first mission was to groom young talent around the greater Middelburg area. Over the years burnslow was functioning with its ups and downs due to lack of funds and some commitment from some of the people who were recruited. Burnslow’s growth never stopped.
In 2016 he decided that his craft is ripe for people’s ears. He believes his music is going to change the way South Africans view music and how music modern youth makes music.
