Born Felix Bikai but setting the music world alight with the acronym Bikai is the D.C born Cameroonian whose brand of music is set to take over your earlobes. His shimmery energetic voice brings a contagious melody to his sounds influenced by his Central African roots and his Washington D.C upbringing.
Music began for Bikai while working at Publix and a co-worker was singing ‘I told him to sing the song again. When he stopped singing I just free styled the rest of the song and he loved it.’ That was how his music journey started inevitably. His earliest musical influences include Michel Jackson, Petit Pays , Koffi Olomide. Sam Cooke, and R Kelly , . ‘I love their songs, words and how they get peoples attention with their words.’
For Bikai, music is all about how he feels or how the beat makes him feel and he describes his kind of music as AFrican with a pop vibe, hip hop, R&B. Bikai would love to work with P-square Davido,Wizkid ,Aka ,Casper Nyovest and many more. The African Lady video is the most romantic love story of 2017. This modern day fairy tale tells the story of Kagwe and Malaika who are deeply in love. Their epic romance stretches through the tear-jerking trails and tribulations of college life and young adulthood. African Lady was shot at Olepolos country Club, a popular outdoor venue in Kiserian which is popular for its Maasai dancers, crafts, panoramic view points and ample meeting space.
