On this episode of Moni Talks, I decided to switch things ups. MI Abaga recently dropped an album called Rendezvous so I decided to get him on the show and we talked about the process of making the album and also discussing every track on it.
Having released two of their video singles, “All We Need” and “No One Like You” over the weekend, Semah and Flavour present their E.P. Album to audiences, titled, “Divine.”
“Divine” is an uplifting seven track E.P. Album, each track filled with an encouraging message for it’s listeners.
Since their encounter in Liberia last year, Semah and Flavour have ceased opportunities in working together, developing their musical journey with one another.
The inspiration behind the album title, “Divine” came from the very the very first time Flavour was introduced to Semah by superstar producer Masterkraft, and Liberian Traditional Queen ruler, Juli Endee.
“From the moment that I met this extraordinary and talented young boy, I was incredibly moved. When he first sang to me, it touched my soul in a spiritual level that I can’t put into words, I just knew that I had to work with Semah on a long-term basis.
I have been so inspired by his talent and his story, and I want to share this with my fans and the rest of the world.”

“As a rapper, I always see my microphone as a weapon, a weapon to influence society. I’m like a female warrior on the music scene. Just like Yaa Asantewaa of Ghanaian ancient history used a gun as her weapon, so is the microphone to me and I see myself as the dopest emcee amongst the rest. In a male-dominated scene like Ghana, the music industry needs strong and consistent female emcees like me to change the market. I strongly believe this is the time.
