On double release week, Wakazi goes his fans a gift of a club banger, “Bakora”. The Abbah produced track, has Wakazi taking it back to the classic Bongofleva era with the sound (which was birthed by Bongo Records). It’s not so often that a party song can also be a metaphoric effort, but such is the case for this master of wordplay. Originally recorded as a freestyle in his Mtikila mixtape, soon the song picked steam to a point he was urged to get back to the studio and re-invent it. This is as good and tolerable as a braggadocio track can be, thanks to a catchy hook, witty rhymes, and perfect instrumentations. Also a single off the Kisimani album, that slated to be released in August, “Bakora” wipes out the notion that this anticipated album would only cater to hardcore fans, as it can be seen clearly that even the girls want “Bakoooooora”.
