Lojay continues his swift journey to pinnacle of the Nigerian music scene with his captivating visuals to ‘Kuli Kuli’, shot and directly by Djian Eccles.
Having only just made his debut this year with the single ‘Simple Matter’, Lojay reassures Nigerian music lover that he is here to stay and ‘Kuli Kuli’ is just one of many to come.
Filmed in a serene location in London, Lojay settles for a calm vibe with the visuals as he invites you to his peaceful world.
The single produced by Bizzouch was released about two month ago and is the second official single from Lojay. The record was played on ABN Radio in London, who invited the Nigerian artist for a chat. In addition to that, the single was spun on Radar Radio by P. Montana during his Afrobeat set.
Despite the huge Afrobeats influence in the UK, Lojay has kept a tight grasp to his musical influences and Nigerian music as a whole. His music is inspired by the likes Lagbaja, Michael Jackson, Jon Bellion, Daddy Showkey e.t.c.
Speaking to Kingsmediatv.com during the release of his first single ‘Simple Matter’, Lojay identified himself as a crazy guy, weird and like to think outside the box.
“I’m a crazy guy, i’m very very weird. I like to think outside the box, which means that whenever i’m composing my music, i don’t like it to sound normal… even if it’s not drastically different, there has to be one or two things different. I’m still young… At 20, i still have time to make a lot of music which i have a crazy passion for.” He said.
With the right exposure, Lojay definitely has a place in the Nigerian music industry. 2017 would definitely be a big one for him, with his debut EP coming out early next year.
