What does the world need now? A little bit of alright? That’s exactly what your feet and your heart will be telling you with the latest summertime single Feelin Alright by CAPSO featuring Fally Ipupa.
Feelin Alright was recorded in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Stockholm. It features the smooth Rumba tones of Congolese sensation Fally Ipupa. Fally is an international mega-star, with fans spanning across the world from Europe to Africa through to the US. Besides incredible talent and a zesty gusto for jumping in, Fally shares another connection with CAPSO. Both born in the DRC, they speak a common musical language of diaspora, crossing and connecting boundaries, transcending their common birthplace to reach the ears of universal citizens. CAPSO, born in a town about 900 km away from Fally Ipupa’s, grew up hearing the same sounds that influenced Fally’s musical journey. Although each has travelled a unique road, it was at their first meeting in Lagos in June that their instant musical synergy infectiously inspired a new level to the track. After just one hearing of Feelin Alright Fally was freestyling, lacing in some Rumba romance and “feeling alright” in his signature style. Feelin Alright is that skipping flutter of a first glance, long hot days and longer nights of “what if?” Exciting and fresh it’s set to become the African anthem of the summer.
In CAPSO’s own words, “I am highly honoured to collaborate with a King of African music and one of the most important voices of our generation, Fally Ipupa. Together we have sifted and touched an undiscovered flavour of sound. This path has never been walked”– CAPSO.
